SS GRIND: These wedges are the Sweeper/Slider model. A Sweeper/Slider swing type is one of a shallow angle of attack at impact, sweeping the ball off the turf with smaller divots, and the miss-hit is commonly thin. Due to the shallower angle of attack, Scratch used a rounder sole with less bounce so the club can slide across the ground and under the ball. The SS grind has V-Grooves for the maximum spin allowed.
