Sundström SR 520 M/L Loose-Fitting Hood Short, Medium/Large, Blue

The Sundstrom SR 520 Loose Fitting Hood is a lightweight hood which covers the face and head. It offers an easily adjustable headband suspension and has a visor made of chemical-resistant CA. The SR 520 is delivered with a PUR (Polyurethane) breathing hose and provides respiratory protection with an APF of 1,000. The SR 520 hood is to be used with the Sundstrom SR 500 PAPR fan unit. The SR 500 system is a belt mounted Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) that protects against particulates, gases and vapors, or a combination of both. The SR 500 PAPR system functions as an alternative to Air Purifying Respirators (APR) in all situations for which these are recommended. This applies particularly to work that is hard, warm or of long-duration. The filtered air is supplied through a breathing hose to the tight fitting face piece and loose fitting head gear and can also provide cooling air for the for the worker. Typical applications include agriculture, asbestos, mold & lead paint abatement, construction & building renovation, demolition, chemical industry, food & beverage processing, lead battery plants, medical & health care, metal work, welding shops, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power plants, pulp & paper processing, recycling plants, smelting & foundries, surface preparation, painting, coating, and more.
