Charming and nostalgic, this handmade quilt features nine classic Sunbonnet Sue applique panels. Each Sue is crafted from vintage cotton prints and bordered by cheerful pastel green sashing. Black blanket stitching around each applique, with hand-quilting throughout in a diagonal motif.
The quilt is signed "SCY 1934" in embroidery on one corner, attesting to its age and handmade origin. The backing is white cotton with a tiny print, and the quilt is finished with green rickrack trim at the edges.
